Note: The CD Version of the game has the voice acting of Michael Dorn, of Star Trek fame, in the intro and dialogue. Recommended for all gamers interested in this period and/or want a good challenge. None of the sub-parts of the game, like the tactical battles and the duels, are great, but when combined together and the controls learned, you have a good and fun game here. Best of all, the game is open-ended- you can stay at home and rule and hardly go out, or you can try to conquer all of Sweden or Norway. It is VERY difficult, but bound to keep an interested gamer busy for quite a while. Overall, this is a good action/strategy game covering a topic not covered by many other games. The music is quite fitting, and the dialogue (missing in this CD-rip) works well with the atmosphere of the game. In towns, you can pick a building and then talk to the people, look for clues on quests to do, or listen to local news. There are also duel screens where you slug it out with another warrior, arcade-style. Combats screens are tactical-based where you move your men as units.
Once you land in a town, you can negotiate with the people or attack them. Controls are a little sluggish, but you will soon get used to them. This part of the game has you sail around or walk on a large map of Northern Europe, and the graphics are still handsome-looking today, although the palette is a bit too dull.
Or, you can take your trusted men and go out to fight and gain glory. You can stay at home and govern, and this helps your province but doesn't do affect your wealth or fame. As the ruler of your land, you have two choices. Then it's off to the high seas and beyond. At the start of the game, you pick your nationality (Norway, Sweden, or Denmark), and pick your ruling land, then decide the difficulty level and your advantage. In this unique game, you play the chief of a Viking tribe in the 9th century.

Affection is also gained from success in battle, and is lost when the T-Dolls die (unless it is a boss battle) or when another T-Doll in the same echelon dies. They can also gift the T-Dolls food and costume, which raises the affection of the T-Dolls. Players can customise their dorms with furniture, and interact with Chibi renditions of the T-Dolls in the echelon corresponding with that dorm. After a while, old costumes from previous gacha events will be added to the "Black Card" store, where players can exchange an amount of Black Cards (obtained from gifting T-Dolls a duplicate costume that has already been gifted before) for a costume of a previous gacha set. The game also features gacha elements, such as in the production and heavy production of T-Dolls and equipment, or in the Dormitory with costumes and furniture sets for the T-Dolls on a time-limited basis with several sets and costumes being available for a limited time, before another few sets and costumes are revealed and added. Gameplay progresses by playing on the campaign missions, logistic support missions, or combat simulations to level up each T-Doll. Players also have the option of withdrawing specific echelons from the mission altogether if they wish. Battles are for the most part automated, although the player can activate the T-Dolls' special abilities manually if wanted, or order them to different spots in formation (which the player can organise out of battle to be set as the default formation when entering a battle) or to withdraw in order to conserve health or resources). Battles are a mix of turn-based strategy puzzles on a set map with enemies that can move about, random item nodes and heliports/command nodes, from which the player can summon their own echelons, or support echelons, which are echelons that the player's friend sets on their profile to be used by others, and real-time battles with enemy echelons. The player plays as a newly recruited commander of an area who commands the T-Dolls in battle, and organises the echelons as well as the T-Dolls' wellbeing.
